This photo is from a pivotal moment in my first feature film, Surviving Family, which finished post-production in February and will premiere on Aug 3 at the 21st Annual Woods Hole Film Festival in Cape Cod. The sheer joy in this shot (by photographer Zac Clark) captures how it felt to write & produce my first feature film. The reaction in preview screenings has been tremendous, and I can't wait to get it out to the public. Without a doubt, this past year has been the most exciting in my life. I started writing one act plays for theater first - in sheer frustration that my husband was acting in plays with terrific actors & directors, but sub-par writing. My first effort ("Bermuda Triangle") was performed by Love Creek on the weekend after 9/11. Helping people to laugh for a few minutes was an amazing experience, and I've never looked back. Up next? Getting "Surviving Family" seen widely, whether in theaters, on cable, or on line. And of course, writing my next screenplay. Stay tuned!
