TGIF Huh guys?


Here are some things to do this weekend:


Lovers of Literature, the Rainbow Book Fair is Saturday and it’s the largest LGBT book event in America, featuring six hours of non-stop events including author readings, poetry performances, and academic panels on queer literature. Admission is free J


This weekend is also the Art for Progress Clash of the Artists 2010. This Saturday will be a night of international art, music, and fashion as Art for Progress presents Clash of the Artists 2010, The Finals Event. This is your opportunity to help decide the winners for Clash of the Artists 2010. Come out and experience this unique event and support art education in NYC.


The Brooklyn Academy of Music Opera Festival will go through April 2. This 16-day event is the brainchild of early music conductor William Christie, who's selected Purcell's The Fairy Queen, as the festival's centerpiece. The festival also introduces Baroque Cabaret, a series of stripped-down productions presented intimately and affordably at BAMcafe.


Writers, is hosting a class on April 8 that focuses on how to break into writing about food and becoming a food critic.


Filmmakers, the deadline for the Emden International Film Festival is March 26, and the deadline for the Anima Mundi film festival is March 27.
