I am 50 years old and I am a national makeup artist. I lived in Indiana until I was 21, then moved to New Jersey to start out my career as a makeup artist. For a while I worked in retail, either as a counter manager or independant makeup artist while studying and perfecting my make up application techiques. I also performed as a singer and wrote my own songs, but never followed through with it because it was not my passion. Deep down I knew, I was an entrepeneur. Besides, my father always did say I had strong organizational and networking skills. I worked at Ulta, Sephora , Macy's and Lord & Taylor. Eventually my skills were noticed by several well-known makeup artists, such as Ricky Wilson and Everett Suttle, and through their guidance I was able to work with them on many occasions all throughout the tri-state area. My director would call us the "National Makeup Atrist Team" and send us to many events that took place with in the tri state area. I have worked for many different makeup lines, such as Dior, Stila, Mac, Nars, Too Face, Benefit and Urban Decay and at the same time I also studied and practiced proper skin care. One of the things that I was taught by several estheticians was how to be faithful to my skin care regiment, which is why I look younger than most 50 year olds.
I am proud to say that I have never had any plastic surgery done on my face or skin, and as a result, not only have I been able to maintain a healthy and youthful glow to my skin, but also achieve a more natural look that one may sacrifice when undergoing plastic surgery. Along with my time attending the Eliza Hendicks School of Arts in Indianapolis, Indiana and perfecting my acting, singing and various southern and midwestern accents, the confidence that I had in knowing I have accomplished thorough understanding in skin care and make up has also aided me into doing live theater and the last play I perform in, was "Laughter on the 23rd floor" in New Jersey. I was notimated for best supporting actress and I did my own makeup for the role.

First of all I never look at someone the way other people do, when some people might see uglines,I see beauty. I create something amazing so when someone see's them selves after what has done they begin to see more than what they had seen before. When a person comes to me for a makeover and ask " to make them look beautiful, I always say" to them, you are beautiful, I am only enahcing what you already have Make-up is a form of espression that enhances the beauty with in, Vimi Joshi once said" "Art is the window to a person's soul. Without it, they would never be able to see beyond their immediate world; nor could they world see the person within." I create what most people don't see on the outside but, what I see on the inside. I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." So when I do a makeover, seeing through the camera's eye taking one look at you and knowing exactly what you need, I make the eyes look as if they just jumped out of a magazine, your face will look flawless, you will be sculpted, contoured, and high lightened, your lips will look irresistable I create art, recreacting the way you look. you are beautiful."View Group
